Piercing Aftercare
These three steps are to be carried out 2x per day for 10 days.
Step 01
In a bowl, boil water and add a spoonful of sea salt (not table salt). When the water is at room temperature, soak your ear for 10 minutes.
Step 02
Apply the alcohol-free disinfectant solution using a compress.
Do not put the antiseptic directly on the wound.
Step 03
Rinse thoroughly with Physiological Serum, then dry with a compress. You can also apply Cycatryl (morning and evening) for optimal healing.
Average healing time
- LOBE: 2 to 3 months
- UPPER LOBE: 2 to 3 months
- CONCH: 3 to 6 months
- HELIX: 3 to 6 months
- ROOK: 3 to 6 months
- FORWARD HELIX: 3 to 8 months
- DAITH: 9 to 12 months
- TRAGUS: 6 to 12 months
Our advice
To do
- Wash your hands thoroughly before applying the treatment.
- Avoid sleeping on the side of the piercing
- Avoid shocks and friction
- Rinse the piercing thoroughly after washing your hair
What not to do
- Do not use a disinfectant with alcohol
- No swimming pool, sauna, hammam for two weeks
- Do not handle the piercing outside of care.
- Never remove your jewelry before it has completely healed.
Inflammation
Following the procedure, slight inflammation may occur. This should resolve quickly. If, despite your diligence in carrying out your care (steps 1, 2 and 3), inflammation and pain persist, come back and see us as soon as possible or contact Duch, our professional piercer at the following address:
