An inveterate nomad, Diane Goldstein creates a fashion that reflects her image: joyful, mystical and open to the world. After studying at Central Saint Martins School, Diane founded the Aprilmay brand, which she ran for ten years: it features her street art and 90s photography influences, a taste for travel and a refined bohemian style. Passionate about Tarot as much as fashion, Diane has now naturally launched into creating a line of kimonos, called Monoki. She gets her supplies from a karate school, has them dyed, washed and then embroidered by a craftsman in Los Angeles. Her kimonos are then hand-embroidered with colored threads, like a signature, which gives them a unique touch. This long artisanal process ends with the blessing of each piece by a Shaman in Big Sur, California. In Monoki, there is a mixture of Diane's desires and inspirations, the demand for beautiful embroidered materials and a touch of mystical spirituality.
